William "Bill" F. Roberts, Jr.

William F. “Bill” Roberts, Jr., 81, of Mount Perry, passed away early Thursday October 7, 2021 at Genesis Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1940 in Cement, Oklahoma, a son of the late William F. “Pete” Roberts and Mildred L. Taliaferro Roberts.

He left high school early to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, where he served his country for 12 years. Following his time in the service, he returned to Ohio, where he met his beloved wife Sandy, earned his GED, started a family, and earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati. He retired after working for close to 20 years as a supervisor for the Ohio BWC. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sandra J. Ridgley Roberts. Two daughters Kimberly J. Roberts (Russell McMillen) and Kristin L. Roberts (Alan Higgins). One brother Richard (Catherine) Roberts. A sister-in-law Dorothy “Dottie” Roberts. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother James Eugene “Gene” Roberts.
