Obituary

Willis Roy Beardmore of Georgetown, TX died on Sunday January 29, 2023. He was born October 15, 1936 in Mount Perry, OH to Roy and Virgie (Schofield) Beardmore. Willis graduated from Glenford High School and Ohio University with a degree in Horticulture. He served 2 years in the Army. He was a USDA food inspector, retiring after 30 years.

He is survived by his spouse Sandra, step-daughter: Ginger, step-son: Mike, brothers: Bernard, Michael, Anthony, Timothy and Joe; sister: Rose.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers:  John, Thomas, and Andrew; sisters: Helen, Jennett and Carolyn.   In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Willis’s name to Mount Perry EPC or Mount Perry United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Sat. Feb. 4, 2023 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Chris Carter officiating. Burial will be in Mount Perry Cemetery.
